Hello! I’m Kiet, a product designer based in Toronto. Previously, I led UX for PIM & DAM platforms at GS1 Canada, supporting over 30,000 businesses in managing and exchanging product content.
GS1 Canada
I joined GS1 as part of a small UX team supporting a wide portfolio. Over 3 years, I collaborated with 6 teams across 8 products, working on key initiatives that advanced the vision of a unified product platform.

Recognizing that collective progress matters far more than personal wins, I care about being a collaborator that others can count on and enjoy working with.
“I have great trust in Kiet’s work”
Kiet showcased his deep knowledge of UX through design thinking and the consistent usage of design heuristics. Moreover, Kiet’s excellent storytelling and communication skills helped stakeholders understand the “why” behind his designs. This enabled me to have great trust in Kiet’s designs and work.

“An invaluable partner”
Kiet was an invaluable partner in UX team’s journey to establish a robust discipline at GS1 Canada, a mission that was anything but easy. Kiet's support, strategic thinking, and resilience were crucial. Kiet isn’t just a talented UX designer but also a true team player who brings out the best in those around him.

Hobby projects
At the start of COVID, Si and I spent 2 months building a Story Points voting tool for remote SCRUM teams. This project was my first experience working closely with a developer to build a lean product.

About
12 years ago, I came to Canada to study Architecture. 3 years later, I pivoted to UX—a leap of faith that sparked a deeply fulfilling journey. I’d find myself in unexpected places—like leading a Toastmasters club, or perfecting bubble tea orders.
Along the way, I learned to connect with people from different walks of life, communicate with intent, and look beyond my interests to make a difference.
After each stop, I grew into someone better—a better designer, a better colleague, and a better person. Yet, one thing has, and will always remain constant:
Wherever I go, I strive to leave it a better place.
In my free time, I like experimenting in the kitchen 🍳, cheering for Liverpool FC ⚽, or adding to my limited-edition console collection 🕹️ (proud owner of a Metal Slime PS Vita ✌️).
